OCCASIONAL NORTHEAST WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 20 KNOTS



* WHAT...Northeast winds around 10 kt with occasional gusts up to
20 kt.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island MD to Smith Point VA,
Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA, Chester
River to Queenstown MD, Eastern Bay, Choptank River to Cambridge
MD and the Little Choptank River, Patuxent River to Broomes
Island MD, and Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding
Bloodsworth Island.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Conditions may be hazardous to small craft.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should exercise extra caution if navigating the waters
during this time.

DENSE FOG WILL AFFECT THE SOUTHERN COASTAL WATERS THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING



Areas of dense fog can be expected across the coastal waters from
around the Channel Islands southward. Mariners should be prepared
for abrupt visibility changes down to one nautical mile or less.
Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other
vessels, including large ships in the shipping lanes. Use radar or
GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if
such equipment is unavailable.
