FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR RECENT BURN SCARS IN SAN LUIS OBISPO, SANTA BARBARA, VENTURA, AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON

Santa Barbara County, CA Los Angeles County, CA San Luis Obispo County, CA Ventura County, CA

* WHAT...Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive
rainfall are possible.

* WHERE...This Flood Watch is specifically for areas in and nearby
the recent burn scars of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura,
and Los Angeles Counties. These burns scars are the Gifford,
Madre, Lake, Apache, Mountain, Post, King, Canyon, Hughes, Hurst,
Kenneth, Franklin, Palisades, Sunset, Lidia, Hawk, Eaton, and
Bridge burn scars.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Potential for brief heavy rainfall over the burn scars
may trigger hazardous and damaging flooding and debris flows.
Flooding may also occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Peak rates of 0.25 to 0.50 inch per hour with rates locally
to 0.80 inch hour are possible. There is a 10 percent chance
of rates to 1.0 inch per hour (due to thunderstorms or heavy
showers). Additionally, the thunderstorm threat will bring
concern for higher intensity sub-hourly rainfall rates that
may reach burn scar debris flow thresholds.

FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING

Conejos County, CO Mineral County, CO Rio Grande County, CO

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Colorado, including the
following areas, Eastern San Juan Mountains Above 10000 Feet and
Upper Rio Grande Valley/Eastern San Juan Mountains Below 10000
Feet.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Another surge of tropical moisture will push into the eastern
San Juan Mountain region starting Monday morning and lasting
into Tuesday. Another 1 to 3 inches of rain will be possible.
This additional rainfall falling on already saturated grounds
will allow for the potential of additional flooding across
the region.

Madera County, CA Mariposa County, CA Fresno County, CA Tulare County, CA Kern County, CA

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following
areas, Fresno-Tulare Lower Sierra, Kern River Valley,
Mariposa-Madera Lower Sierra, Piute Walker Basin, San Joaquin
River Canyon, South End of the Lower Sierra and Yosemite Valley.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Excessive rainfall over burn scars may also result in flooding and
debris flows.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall rates of 0.20 to 0.40 inches per hour are expected
during this time, along with localized heavier rain rates due
to thunderstorms, that may reach the burn scar debris flow
thresholds.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following
areas, Animas River Basin, San Juan River Basin and Southwest San
Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Area creeks and
streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Tropical moisture will stream northward from the remnants of
TD Raymond bringing another chance for widespread heavy rain
increasing the threat of flash flooding across portions of
southwest Colorado Monday into Tuesday.

following areas, Aguila Valley, Apache Junction/Gold Canyon,
Buckeye/Avondale, Cave Creek/New River, Central Phoenix, Deer
Valley, East Valley, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Gila Bend, North
Phoenix/Glendale, Northwest Pinal County, Northwest Valley,
Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, Sonoran Desert Natl Monument, South
Mountain/Ahwatukee, Southeast Valley/Queen Creek, Tonopah Desert
and West Pinal County.

* WHEN...Through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorm capable of producing high rainfall
rates that can lead to flash flooding. Additional rainfall
totals as high as 0.5 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts
possible will be possible once again later tonight through
Monday evening.

Mountains, New River Mesa, Pinal/Superstition Mountains, Rio
Verde/Salt River, San Carlos, Southeast Gila County, Superior and
Tonto Basin.

* WHEN...Through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorm capable of producing high rainfall
rates that can lead to flash flooding. Additional rainfall
totals as high as 0.5 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts

areas, Baboquivari Mountains, Catalina and Rincon Mountains,
Chiricahua Mountains, Dragoon and Mule and Huachuca and Santa Rita
Mountains, Eastern Cochise County below 5000 feet, Galiuro and
Pinaleno Mountains, South Central Pinal County, Southeast Pinal
County, Tohono O'odham Nation, Tucson Metro Area, Upper Gila River
Valley, Upper San Pedro River Valley, Upper Santa Cruz River
Valley/Altar Valley and Western Pima County.

* WHEN...Through Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Abundant moisture may lead to periods of moderate to heavy
rainfall and scattered thunderstorms through Monday.
Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected with
locally higher amounts.
